Fees Due January 26 |
Dance
Class Notes |
| Recital
costumes must be ordered many months in advance to
ensure that we have them in time for the Strawberry
Festival and Recital performances. Costumes must be paid
in full at time of ordering. The fee covers the cost of
measuring, ordering, fitting, shipping and handling, and
dancers will keep their costumes after the June 17
performance. Costume fees are $60.00 for each class
in which a student dances unless otherwised noted. The
fees are due no later than January 26, and families
may begin paying on their account at any time. It may be
helpful to pay 1/2 the amount in December and the
balance in January. |
A
few quick reminders for dancers and parents. Any student
in Ballet I or higher MUST have her hair pulled
away from her face and off her neck. Please stash extra
hair bands or pins in the dance bag along with the
dancer's shoes so they are always available.
It is cold out there!!!
Please send a sweater or jacket with your dancer
for warmth after class. Many students say there
are too hot to put something on after class, but they
should not go outside, even the short trip to the car,
without covering their warm muscles. I will continue to
nag them but please help me out! |

For the Food Donations |
December
Dates and Tuition |
| On
November 16, I delivered over 20 bags of food to
the Galt Community Concilio for their food closet. The
donation was appreciated very much. Thank you to all the
students and families who so generously gave food to the
less fortunate. Check out The Galt Herald
(November 23) picture on page 3 of Galt Dance Center
students holding the donated food!!!! |
Tuition
for December is only half (1/2) of your regular fee. If
you would like to pay some of your costume fee with
December tuition just send a note along with your
payment.
The Galt Dance Center will be
closed from December 16 - January 3, 2004. The studio
will open for winter classes on Wednesday,
January 4, 2006. |

Settling In to Classes |
Community
Outreach News |
| Fall
has passed quickly yet again, and all the dancers are
settled in to their classes. Many students have already advanced
and all dancers are learning new technique and improving
dramatically. Our performances on May 20 and June 17
will be very exciting to see with all of the great
dancing and talent we have!!!
|
Galt
Dance Center is getting busy in the community. Aside
from the great food drive that you all helped with, the
Galt Dance Center is involved in other projects to
benefit the area. In the next few weeks, Miss Dorothy
will be hosting two different Girl Scout troops
at the studio. The girls will experience everything from
jazz and hip hop to "The Nutcracker" stories
and dance combinations.
The Galt Junior Warriors
Cheerleaders will be practicing at the studio in
December and January to prepare for their Nationals
Competition. They became desperate for practice space
when all of the town's gyms filled with basketball
players!
The Galt Dance Center is also
approved by several home schools as a vendor for
dance classes. We currently have half a dozen students
from Visions and Horizon
enrolled in classes. Please pass the word to any friends
or family members that may benefit from any of these
programs!! |
